Since Anna Kate was sick this week, she was behind on her newspaper reading. She caught up this morning!!!

Sick For The First Time!!!!

On Monday when I picked Anna Kate up from daycare they had just checked her temperature and she had fever. She stayed with Mammaw Clark all day Tuesday, and half a day on Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon we (Mammaw Clark, Anna Kate and I) went to see Anna Kate's doctor. Anna Kate had a ear infection. She gave us medicine and said it should clear it up. Wednesday night we did not get any sleep and Anna Kate did not feel good at all, so I took off and stayed with her. Tomorrow (Friday) she is going to stay with her daddy.

A Tired Baby

One Monday while I was cooking supper, Brad put Anna Kate in her activity jumper. She was so sleepy. This was after her first full day of daycare. I guess it just wore her out. While she was jumping she fell asleep. Even though she was asleep she continued to jump.

One day last week I had to go to school to get some things. After Anna Kate woke up from her nap we went for a little while. I did a few things while we were there and Anna Kate had a good time going all over the room.

Anna Kate Starts "School"

On Tuesday Anna Kate went to daycare for the first time!! She did really well. She did not cry when I left here. I only left her for 3 hours so she could get used to it. They said she did fine. She was a little fussy but they said that is to be expected until she gets used to everything. When I picked her up they were rocking her and she was asleep. Today (Wednesday) she went back and stayed 3 hours. They said she did wonderful. She ate her breakfast, took an hour nap and just played. On Thursday and Friday she is going to stay though lunch and then Mammaw Clark is going to pick her up. She will probably stay a full day next week.

9 Month Dr. Visit

Mama and I took Anna Kate to the Dr. on Monday. It was her nine month check-up. Anna Kate did not want Dr. Porter to look at her at all. When Dr. Porter finished, she handed her back to me and Anna Kate began waving bye-bye. She was finished with the doctor. Dr. Porter said everything looked good. Anna Kate weighed a little over 21 lbs. She did not have to have shots but she did have to have some blood drawn. Anna Kate just watched them stick the needle in her arm and never cried. The first photo is before we left home. The last one was taken in Sam's. We made several stops and Sam's was the last one. Anna Kate was riding in the buggy and just fell asleep so I laid her down.

9 Months Old

Anna Kate was 9 months old on August 1st. Here she is with her bear. She really did not want to sit with the bear!!

Brad's sister and her family, and Brad's parents were at the lake camping so we went up to see them one night. We took Anna Kate down to the playground and let her swing. She loved it.
